Mrs. O’Brien is a high school Math teacher and is currently teaching a unit on data analysis. She is in a 1:1 laptop classroom and has had many students out of class due to the H1N1 flu. She decides to model how to analyze data and goes to: http://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/ to gather statistics about the amount of cases of H1N1 in the school's region of the U.S. She uses Google docs to analyze the data through use of a spreadsheet. She asks the students to participate in helping her with the analysis of the data. She assists them in comparing the data with what they have experienced at the school in terms.
